State Rep. Kevin Cooke

GRA Legislative Score: “A” —

Kevin Cooke currently represents Georgia State House District 18 and is a life-long resident of West Georgia. During his time as a Representative, Kevin stood firm in his belief that we never have to sacrifice conservative values to keep our state the number one place to do business and he was proud to support pro-life legislation as well as every piece of pro-Second Amendment legislation. He has never voted for a tax increase and even supported legislation that cut the Georgia income tax.

State Rep. Matt Gurtler

State Rep. Matt Gurtler

GRA Legislative Score: “A” —

State Representative Matt Gurtler has distinguished himself over the last six years as a tenacious and principled constitutionalist, willing to take the fight to the enemy regardless of the pushback. In the 9th Congressional District race, he has been endorsed by U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-Kentucky), the Protect Freedom PAC, FreedomWorks, and many others. Gurtler has opposed omnibus spending at the state capitol and led the charge for “Constitutional Carry” in spite of relentless opposition from Speaker Ralston. He has won election by 60% or more in his House District twice in spite of Ralston and the Governor campaigning to defeat him. He brings a great deal of energy and determination to the race for Congress.

Among the challengers to Matt Gurtler in the race for the 9th Congressional race is State Representative Kevin Tanner, who has earned a disappointing “F” on his legislative scorecard.
